GILLESPIE

For the Gillespies, we addressed structural inefficiencies and poor design to create a stunning kitchen diner space. Building work included the removal of a major internal wall and the installation of bifolds to open the room onto the garden. We also re-routed electrics to make for a more intuitive design, and installed new Karndean flooring that accentuates the rest of the colourways. 

The family (and their visitors) now enter a bold, balanced and contemporary room; the ‘Autograph’ painted graphite door holding centre-stage. This is complete with a bespoke bar featuring a subtle LED light strip, as well as glass splashback with a metallic grey brick effect. The darker tones extend to the Dekton worktop, cupboard doors, and central monolithic pallet, but are stylishly offset by lighter furnishings.

We love how the kitchen bar lines the walkway to the main diner, how every pocket of space has character, and how ambition has fed a whole new ambience. Fortunately, the Gillespie family love it too.

We are SO pleased with our kitchen from Orchard Kitchens. We can’t praise the whole team at Orchard and Jamie the builder enough for how seamless and supported the process was. We had to change the idea in our heads due to the structural needs in our kitchen but WOW we couldn’t be happier. Gideon knew exactly how to best use the space we had available to us and our kitchen is awesome – from the beautiful worktops, the bar (!) and the clever use of space to make us a utility cupboard. If you want a great quality kitchen you will love for a long time – we can’t recommend using Orchard Kitchens enough 🙂
